The history of band " Awoken ", as a matter of fact, has no beginning...

Event, hat subsequently has led to to creation of group, took place in not so far year 2000. Young people, being under impression from works of In Flames, Tiamat and other collectives have not found other exit to the emotions, except trying to create a band. Just trying, therefore as the created formation was difficult for naming a band: there was no neither name, nor own material, so point for rehearsals. The line-up was following: Oleg Kochkin - guitar, Dmitry "Tverdiy" Tverdohleb - bass, Maxim Kalinich - vocal, guitar, Vladimir Krichmar - drums. Roles in group have been alloted conditionally enough therefore as the drummer did not rehearse, actually there was no place for rehearsals, the vocalist was hardly assorting guitar parties of the covers chosen for playing. After some time the band decides that it is better to vocalist to take a bass, thus places of the guitarist and the bass player have changed. But the vocalist for no apparent reason has refused to incur responsibility for bass and place has remained vacant. After couple of weeks the bass player was found: Dmitry "Hornorth" Pliska takes its place who was familiar with collective not so long ago.

Some shifts were outlined... The place for rehearsals was found as assembly hall of technical college. The unpretentious equipment was found in the same place which allowed to band to rehearse somehow. Some covers were made, which performance, basically, was rehearsal at all therefore as there were complexities with own material. The material written and coordinated on one rehearsal was criticized and was thrown out on following... It is natural that such conditions had not positive influence on anyone. After two months of such tortures one of guitarists, Dmitry "Tverdiy" leaves... And simply ceases to appear on rehearsals. By this time Hornorth starts to be engaged in band. The name "Awoken" has been thought up, represented fist variant of logo. The first high-grade composition of band, " Strings of Mind Tortures " is soon written. The band began to find outlines.

Vocalist leaves. Maxim motivated it with reason that the Hornorth`s lyrics did not suit to his religious beliefs. So, the band began to exist as trio... After that the band began to resemble a musical formation. Though problems stayed: there were no normal musical instruments, as well as sound equipment, the place for rehearsals appeared periodically and temporary. But for this time the band has had time to create the basic part of that it has for today.

First concert Awoken have played on December, 14 in local club " Two Captains ". Subsequently this place has become more comprehensible for carrying out of concerts and gigs became the constant phenomenon there.

After three years the band has been thrown out of joint. For the awful attitude to the band and personally to musicians the drummer, Vladimir, one of the band founders, have been expelled. To exist as a duet was not represented as possible, therefore the new drummer has been found. It is not so simply to find the musician in such small town as Ilyichevsk. So the drummer of "Nameless Being ", Konstantin now was recruited who is responsible for drums to present day.

Also the group has got the second guitarist. Second 6string place was taken by Victor, who was not marked in a musical life in any way and anywhere earlier.

It is all history of Awoken for present moment.
